Cuántas calorías quemas caminando una hora

Podrías creer que no es ejercicio, pero siempre y cuando lo hagas por al menos 10 minutos seguidos ¡Cuenta como ejercicio aeróbico!

Caminar gifs imagenesCaminar es un ejercicio de bajo impacto, que no requiere equipo especial, y por ser de intensidad moderada baja, es ideal para quemar grasa (particularmente en personas que están empezando a entrenar y están “enseñando” a su metabolismo a usar la grasa como energía).

Cuántas calorías quemas, depende de:

-Distancia

-Esfuerzo o velocidad

-Tu peso, entre más pesas, más calorías quemas. Lo cual lo hace un ejercicio muy democrático, pero ¡Ojo! Si eres musculoso quemas más calorías porque pesas más (otra razón para hacer trabajo de fuerza: pesas o HIIT)

¿Cuántas calorías promedio se queman caminando?

I. Si caminas a intensidad moderada, como para pasear al perro:

  • Si pesas alrededor de 60 kilos, quemas de 60 a 70kcal por media Caminar gifs imageneshora, ó 120 a 140 en una hora, el equivalente a 2 tortillas, un bolillo, 20g de chocolate o medio pan dulce
  • Si pesas alrededor de 90kg, quemas de 90 a 100 kcal en media hora; o de 180 a 200 en una hora, pero ¡no te confíes! Con ese peso, salvo que seas jugador de americano o rugby seguramente tienes más grasa corporal, por lo que no te da derecho a comer de más; ya que de hecho por salud necesitas “usar más grasa” como energía para perder peso.

II. Si caminas rápido, vigorosamente: Como cuando vas tarde para la junta o te urge llegar al baño (a 5km/hr o en subida). 

  • Si pesas 60kg (más menos quemas 80-90 kcal en 30 minutos. Y 160 a 180 por hora (equivalente a un sándwich con queso crema o crema deCaminar gifs imagenes, o un licuado de fresa de 500ml; o 4 galletas de chispas de chocolate chicas)
  • Si pesas 90kg, 120kcal en 30 minutos y 240 kcal en 1 hora (1 pan dulce chico o 2 hot cakes con un poco de miel de abeja)

IMPORTANTE: Subir la velocidad un poco (a 7km/hr); trote ligero en pedazos; caminar en lugares con mucha pendiente o hacer “hiking”, puede duplicar la cantidad de calorías quemadas.
